Live transmission and VoD app for iPad and Android Tablets

The Sportv Sochi 2014 app was designed with the goal to providing a simple and easy experience for the Sportv subscribers watch to the live coverage from channel and another five exclusive broadcast signals to the app. To all users (subscribers or not) were available too, videos with excerpts from the competitions, moments and related Sportv tv shows, the calendar of the live coverage and the possibility to schedule competitions that would be transmitted on the app. I believe it was a excelent learning to all team of how to design a good and usable experience to a sport app with live coverage and simultaneous broadcasts mixed with videos on demand.

Multishow ao vivo

Second screen app for iPhone and Android smartphones

In 2013, Globosat's UX team received a briefing to design a mobile app that would serve as a second screen during live concert transmissions by the TV channel, Multishow. Our biggest challenge was to release the app in time for Rock in Rio 2013. Mission accomplished! The app was a great success, with more than 100k downloads from the App Store and Google Play in less than five days. With these score, the app even made it to the top 5 in the entertainment category during the week of the event. After Rock in Rio, the application has received some improvements and bug fixes, and so it can be used for the transmission of other concerts and festivals by Multishow.

Globosat VoD Products

Website and Mobile apps pattern to Video on Demand poducts

It is a very special project, initiated in 2011 and that envolved a great multidisciplinary team with UX, Dev and Marketing professionals. Our target was designing a standard platform for Video onDemand products from Globosat, and thereby distribute its core content to be consumed anytime and anywhere. Our challange was mapping all common features and specifics characteristics desired for each product and thereafter design a cross-plataform experience in a product template (web and mobile), that could be easily adapted to new products and allow to quickly and incrementally develop new features, specificities each product and thus improve the platform constantly. As a result, we have developed good products that serve as daily learning about how design a standard plataform and the use of VoDs.

Sexy Hot

Responsive Video on Demand website

Sexy Hot is a video-on-demand site with adult content acquired by Playboy/Globosat. It was the first responsive web product designed by Globosat's UX team and I had the pleasure to be a part of it. :) Jokes aside, this project raised a series of questions about this "new" way of designing. We started asking ourselves how do we adapt the content to multiple screen sizes? Should we hide some of the content in smaller screens? What is truly essential to make available for users? How could we create a simple and intuitive navigation and make it sexy on any device? It was a challenging project, but given the increase in the number of subscriptions after the site was launched, I believe we reached our objectives and did some great work.

Telecine

Telecine network website

Our goal was to redesign the Telecine network website so that it would become a movie reference in Brazil. We had to re-think and re-design the user experience for features including a schedule for the network's five channels and a reminder feature that allows users to mark movies they want to watch on TV and receive email notifications when the movie is about to start. We also included more complete information about movies, actors and directors, and the ability for users to flag favorite artists and movies. In addition, we integrated the site with movies playing in theaters throughout Brazil so that users have the ability to search for movies by theaters in nearby neighborhoods and cities.

Funarte

Brasil Memória das Artes Project

Brasil Memória das Artes was a big digitalization project of the cultural heritage promoted by the National Arts Foundation (Funarte), a branch of the Brazilian Ministry of Culture. My responsibility in this project laid in bringing together and coordinating a small, dedicated team to build two portals: Portal das Artes and Brasil Memória das Artes. The first one was a new institutional portal that needed to reflect the structure of the institution's new internal sectors, organized by cultural niches. The second was a website that combined all digitized content (photos, videos, audios, texts and images), making them accessible to anyone on the web.
